I was down in London recently and had the absolute pleasure of spending a couple of nights courtesy of Andaz Liverpool Street.. In the five star boutique hotel that proved to be a perfect location also for access to some of my favourite parts of the capital. A short walk one way you can be in the heart of Shoreditch, wandering the delights of Brick Lane, savouring a unique market or discovering some classic street art. Or just a short walk south you can be at the banks of the Thames, by the Tower of London, with Tower Bridge one way or London Bridge the other. The hotel is also situated conveniently beside Liverpool Street station for access to the tube also or train networks.
As soon as you enter you do immediately realise that customer satisfaction is a high priority! During the few minutes checking I was left with no doubts that my comfort and enjoyment was paramount, and what was refreshing to me was that it was not too false. It was a refreshingly genuine feeling of wanting to help that is very missing from many a five star hotel. I know some people like and some dislike an extreme level of service… I don’t think I opened a door myself the whole time there.. A member of staff with a smile and offer to help with something beat me to it every time.
The room I must say was extremely nice. Big comfortable bed that was so hard to drag myself out of to get out adventuring from, designer furniture and a mini bar stocked with all sorts from champagne, soft drinks, to snacks… Everything except the alcoholic drinks is complimentary, along with free WIFI. You need room service or anything bringing to the room… I have never seen such punctuality! There is ample area to sit and relax throughout the hotel too. From open well lit calm lobbies to the large reception area.. Look up from your chair and in need of a coffee? One was always available. Lazy for me, but a nice relaxing change for me too 🙂
Of course, many of you would visit London to explore, but whether a quick visit needed to a bar, a local with friends or to start the night off, the hotel has its own local feel of a pub, The George Pub. Or you could spend some more luxurious time in the champagne bar. So much for wining and dining in between too! Restaurant and Wine Bar, a place for Japanese cuisine or a brasserie grill. Choices, choices, choices. Walk out the door too and you are spoilt for choice. Heron Tower with the great restaurants with views over London, is only a minute or so away for a start.
As I said before, the location is fantastic, and was perfect for the areas I was exploring, in an upcoming post I shall show you a wander through a favourite locality to here. The Liverpool Street Andaz is definitely a place I would recommend for anyone wishing to have a memorable stay in London, wanting to see a lot, wanting to experience a lot and yet in a very unique location. Of course with comfort, luxury, style and great customer service.
