This Keto Mug Bread Recipe makes a bread that takes less than 10 minutes to make from beginning to end, and done in the microwave, in a mug.

Real traditional bread is obviously a huge no no on a Ketogenic or low carb diet. Massive amounts of carbs, wheat and all that flour.

There are now many variations of keto friendly bread that utilize lots of ingredients that help to get that texture or taste. In fact one of the longer and tasty methods was shown by Amie in the delicious Eggs Benedict Recipe a short while back.

Here though I want to show you that within 10 minutes you can make a quick bread suitable for all kind of occasions or if you would like some on a whim. Great for toasting, dipping in keto soups etc.

Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs

  • 70 g Almond Flour

  • 1/2 tspn of oil

  • 3/4 tspn Baking Powder

Directions

  • Place all the ingredients in the mug and mix all together with a fork or similar implement. This makes a batter.
  • Place the mug with the batter mix into the microwave and cook on full power for 2 minutes 30 seconds.
  • Remove from the microwave and allow to cool for at least a minute.
  • Take the bread out of the mug and you will have a cylindrical loaf.
  • Cut into as thick you want the slices. I get 4 to 6 slices for my preferred thickness.
  • All done and ready!

Notes:

The wider the mug the better as it cooks better in the microwave and of course the slices will be wider.

For tastes you can experiment with your favourite herbs easily in the mix.

What’s the temperature and timing like if I was to bake it in an oven?
