My husband had a tricolor female who could probably load and unload his cattle truck. She was his constant co pilot, unfortunately on march 14, she crossed over the rainbow bridge. She had a fast growing cancer. He is lost without Briar, hopefully someday he’ll train another girl, but Briar will always be his first love. Thank you for your article.❤️

She will enjoy the summer because I have a cottage on a lake and am hoping she will love the water my so has 2 black and white boarder collies and they love the water . My other son has a brown and white one he is 7 months old but very calm compared to mine they are all beautiful dogs and smart and learn easy .

We were given a brown and white Border Collie, she is 11 months old today and a tiny 12.5kg’s. So busy, stubborn and fun. Working from home we have been able to give her attention regularly throughout the day and she sleeps when her attempts to get our attention don’t work. We are learning so much from her and she even brings the puppy out of our other 4 year old dog. We have done puppy socializing and are busy with Good Citizen bronze course, in the next month or so we’re going to introduce her to running with us. There is a small agility course at the training school we take her to and she has pick it up so quickly. I’m not a great teacher but I try my best to teach her new things because I don’t want her to get frustrated and bored. I have also notice she is good at entertaining herself when she needs to. Running after a ball is her all time favourite game but after 9 months she still prefers you meet her half way rather than bringing it all the way back. Do you have grooming tips/suggestions? We are still getting her used to being brushed and have also now found the need for a dematting comb. She gets taken for a wash every few weeks.

They are both very different Bella is hyper loves agility playing catch with ball or Frisbee, mia is a herder and tried to herd oncoming dogs! Crouches down and moves slowly forward trying to herd them both very loyal and loving but totally different, Bella would keep going all day, Mias more of a foodie and lives her sleep and rest. They are all different my previous border collie didn’t like new people, hated people trying to pet her that she didn’t know and could be temperamental and even nip people she didn’t know! These two are over friendly and would kiss anyone! Every border collie is unique

They have since passed. I love in Ohio near Cincinnati and cannot find anyone that has border collies for adopting. I cannot afford to pay much but I can adopt and love one. I have only had girls so would like to stay that way. Q

The photographs that are in this story are Australian Shepherds. It would be great if you could put a picture of the correct breed!

They are wonderful dogs, I am on my 6th, and my last due to my age, they need a lot of time spent on them in the early days teaching right from wrong, and plenty of brain stimulation
