Hebden Bridge, Yorkshire is a most beautiful place to visit. It has so much on offer. This small, quaint and pretty old market town is nestled within the Upper Calder Valley of Calderdale where the River Calder meets Hebden Water.
It is located perfectly for an adventure on a mini break or longer. Halifax is only 8 miles to the East and Rochdale 14 miles South West. You have the Bronte village of Haworth nearby and it is wonderfully positioned for access from Manchester or Leeds.
If you want to stay here and explore the history and shops of the town along with some stunningly famous walks in the area, then look no further than the accommodation provided by House Of Josef. Let’s take a closer look.
Hebden Bridge Setting
Hebden Bridge is famous for its views. You’ll find rows of old houses down in the town surrounded by tree lined hills in all directions. It is a unique sight and leads to it being a great place to live, I imagine, if you love a cardio workout. Everything from the centre of town is upwards, and I do mean upwards. Fun!
Many of you will already be familiar with the scenes of Hebden Bridge. The TV drama Happy Valley was set and filmed here.
There is much beauty surrounding the town, and from it you can walk along the river to the wondrous Hardcastle Crags. The Rochdale Canal passes through here too so you have gorgeous waterside walks of all kinds right out the door.
Up out of town there are moorland walks to discover but back in the town itself, surrounding the bridge that gave it its name, you will find a hub of independent shops, art galleries and industrial heritage.

Right in the heart of this wonderful Hebden Bridge setting is accommodation provided by House Of Josef.
They currently have 2 homes from home, perfectly placed, for you to enjoy the town and area.
Each of the 2 homes is situated in a different part of town, but both are within a couple of minutes walk of the centre.
Plus both houses can accommodate up to 6 people and are absolutely perfect for couples or family getaways.
The decor in each home has been meticulously thought out and carefuly chosen, creating an elegant ambience that ensures absolute comfort for your whole stay.
The kitchens are immaculate and fully equiped with everything you could possibly need.
Plus each house has great working wifi.
And want to know a big bonus? They are very dog frendly!
The 2 houses currently available from House Of Josef are:
Wood End View
This is a large top and bottom house similar to those Hebdon Bridge is famed for having. These houses were built in the Victorian times during the height of the industrial age.
It is set into one of the steep hillsides overlooking Hebden Bridge, creating views upon views out the window.
The house is less than 5 minutes walk from the centre of town, but if you are out on a hike or adventure then I can assure you it is a dream to come back here and relax in luxurious space and comfort.
Cambridge Mews
The other option is Cambridge Mews, in the heart of Hebden Bridge but also situated beautifully by the canal. This is a traditional Hebdon bridge mill house that has been fully renovated.
It also sleeps 6 people with 2 double bedrooms and the option for a double sofa bed.
The renovation they have made to this house is delightful and the light and comfortable feeling really strikes you.
The unique decor carries through to the kitchen, the bedrooms and honestly all the way through.
Even the top floor double bedroom is full of light and offers so much space!
