Indulge in a decadent breakfast delight that combines fluffy bread, rich cream cheese, and a hint of cinnamon-vanilla goodness. This creamy French toast casserole is perfect for a lazy weekend brunch or special occasions, guaranteeing a heavenly taste and a melt-in-your-mouth texture.

Some tips:

You will see in the ingredients that we use bread that is at least a day old as in left out. Especially if using normal white sandwich bread. This kind of bread straight out of the packet does not soak the cream and egg mixture as much so can make your casserole too soggy.

So what is the best bread to use? If you are looking to get a specific kind of bread that works great for this casserole then French bread or sourdough work a treat.

Alternatives you could try: This dish has endless opportunities for mixing up flavours and variations. You could try mixing in blueberries, strawberries or a bit of apple maybe?
